Just finished watching NANA episode 45.
Other than Ouran High School Host Club, NANA is the other anime I recommend.
Nana Osaki is a punk singer who wants to debut as soon as possible to leave her ex-boyfriend, Ren Honjo, behind. Nana was the lead vocalist in their old band with Ren, and they lived together as lovers. When Ren was offered a chance to debut in Tokyo as a replacement member of the popular band TRAPNEST (TRANES for short), Nana chooses to cultivate her own band, BLACK STONES (BLAST for short) instead.
Nana Komatsu, the other Nana, is called Hachi as she has strong mental characteristics that resemble a little puppy. ("Hachikō" is the name of a famous dog in Japan, while, appropriately, "hachi" is the word for "eight" in Japanese, while "nana" is the word for "seven".) With a habit of falling in love at first sight, Hachi has always depended on other people to help her. When her friends and then boyfriend leave for Tokyo, she decide to join them a year later after she saved enough money.
Nana and Hachi meet in a train by chance, both on their way to Tokyo, and after a string of coincidences, they come to live together in an apartment numbered 707. Despite having contrasting characters and ideals, the Nanas like and respect each other.
While the BLACK STONES begin to gain popularity at live gigs, other issues need resolving, especially in the areas of romance. The story of Nana revolves heavily on the romance and relationships of the two characters as one seeks fame & recognition while the other seeks love and happiness.
The plot twists as the episodes proceed; it's awfully realistic, about bands and relationships between friends and lovers.
And not to forget, this is (self)rated NC16, yes it's a bit sexual but... Anyways, I recommend it. 50 episodes, and I've only seen 45. Still waiting for the remaining 5 be avaliable.
+++Skipped C-Law tutorial today. Went to try out Tiong's Nail Palace since I always walk past it almost everyday and it's always full of customers. Opted for express medicure just to try out.
Ok I know I'm being unfair because I'm comparing Nail Palace with the one I went to Vivo during my birthday. And the type of treatment I want is different too; express vs classical. But some of the process are similar, like nail cutting and buffing.
Anyways, I just want to say the quality of service is pretty far apart between these 2. My nails are poorly finished with a lot of 'nail shavings' from the buffing, and the person attending to me don't even try to converse with me! Really really prefer the service at Vivo (forgotten the name) though it's much more expensive. But the person is friendlier and will keep conversing with you. Plus, the interior is much more grand and you are entitled to sit at a spacious station, unlike Nail Palace, you have to squeeze in with other people. I will go back to [name of shop] for a classic pedicure one day. ONE DAY.
Really wish it won't be raining tomorrow.
+++Right, I'll post whatever-I'm-gonna-post-after-this-sentence here, in case I forgot (again).

Had a cup of coffee with my mom and her sisters just now, which explains why I'm as awake as a goldfish now, typing whatever nonsensical topics that is coming into my mind.
Time really flies doesn't it? We're already edging towards the end of semester 1 of year 3. As compared to the 2 months of ITP, this 3 months semester seems like 3 weeks to me.
And of course, exams are coming. After exams comes the long-awaited short holiday; then it's school again. I have a feeling I'm gonna miss polytechnic life after I graduate, just like I'm missing secondary school life now.
When I graduate, I'm gonna be 20. I'm getting old. I'm seeing my cousins growing up, the male ones are taller than me now; they were puny a few years back!
And anyways, this coming Friday is the end of all projects.
Come to think of it, I don't know whether I should welcome holidays or not. You know, holidays pass by EVEN MUCH faster. I really wish I could slow down the time or something.
I actually think I'm growing up too fast, when 10 years ago I wished I'm grown up. How I regret that.
Ahh~ I can still remember what happened 10 years ago, when I was in primary 3. These were the times when teachers still read aloud from a huge story book; pointing word by word with a retractable pointer while she recite, or doing the PETS worksheets for english periods; I still remember PETS worksheet for primary 4 is the rabbit. I remember I hated tearing those out, because I'll always do a bad job of it and ended up tearing some of the edges.
One of my cousins is in primary 3 now. I don't remember seeing her with any thing like the PETS worksheet. Sometimes she would come over to my home and ask me some questions regarding her homework. Woah, seriously, I wonder what are they teaching in school nowadays. I need to ponder over the questions for quite awhile before I can answer.
For example, for one of her english class, she is given a list of 'riddles' and she has to solve them as homework. One such question is something like "There is a prisoner and a piano in the prison. One day the prisoner escaped. How did he do it?" Yeah, this is the simplest riddle out of the whole list.
Kids are being forced to use their brains eh? I'm lucky that I was born earlier.
Ok, I'm getting sleepy. Good night.

Skipped CF tutorial and Audit lecture this morning, and my excuse was: "To do Audit project".
And so I woke up at 8.30 am, after having a dream of thunderstorm and graveyard. Told myself to get my ass off the chair and travel to his home by 10. And so at 9.15 am, I went to bath and yada yada. I looked at my hair curler, which I'd only used twice since the day I bought it, and said, "why not?".
And so I picked up the hair curler; still a bit skeptical because my previous 2 attempts made me looked like a mad woman on the loose. Trying to remember the steps in
Lucido-L's website, I turned on the curler's highest heat and began to... curl.
Ok so all looked nice and neat after I finished with the last lock of already diminishing hair. Time check: 10.25am. And once I stepped out of the area of my flat, WHOOSH! The wind came.
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH!
And once again, for the third time, I looked like a
xiao zha bor.
So it's not my fault that I looked like one, it's the wind. =\
Sigh! And so I was considering banishing the hair curler to the cold palace (storage cupboard).
When I stepped onto the platform of the MRT and stared at the glass doors (you know those underground MRT station's glass doors) and couldn't believe my eyes.
My hair looked like the effect that popcorn would have after heat is being apply to it but to a mop. It was... PONG!
AHH! Cannot have this kind of hair and step into the train!! I looked like a poodle.
I began flattening and twisting my hair towards the direction of the curls frantically. The train would be arriving in 2 minutes.
Hey, wait a minute.
Maybe I can discard the idea of banishing the curler to the storage (or sell) afterall.

Am sick and tired of Audit. I don't even understand what I'm doing and whether it's correctly done or not anyways. So just let me blog on something to lighten up my mood.
I was introduced to online shopping by Eunice Lim Hui Bing. Ha, yes you. Intially I just got to knew of
papergirlsshop, but was still not daring enough to try out this kind of buying and selling. And so Eunice skipped along and told me about this livejournal called
sgsale where people sell their stuffs like clothes or what not, worn and not worn before. It was very tempting, to buy something from someone from there but I was (and stiil am) skeptical about buying 2nd-hand clothes. So she sorta gave me the green light to try out 'online shopping' and so, why not, since so many people are doing so nowadays. And I bought 3 tops/skirt from papergirlsshop.
Waiting for it to come is exciting, even though I knew it'll come 3 days later. But still, I feel happy when I open my mail box and see a large package in it.
Happily, I bought 3 more apparel from them. Each averages out to be $30.
I was still browsing through sgsale when suddenly, I stumbled across
this livejournal. And I see the word 'spree' on her every entries. I explored more and found out this 'spree' is sort of like calling for more orders from the 'public' from a particular website so as not to incur (more) shipping charges.
And so I frequented
sgspree and
_spreee. I love Taiwan sprees the most. Their bags and apparels are so easy on the pocket and nice. But have to wait for quite long, for about either 2 to 3 weeks or 2 to 3 months depending on the situation. I absolutely love the bags!
Around $17.
Around $15.
Around $20.
Around $10. (Gasp. Forgotten it cost this much.) From Japan.Other than website sprees, there's also such spree called the supplier spree. Which means the spree organiser have contacts with the local supplier of some stuff that can be bought in Singapore, then we'll be only paying for the supplier price (no markups).
Currently, I'm trying out this:
Mandarine
- Minimizes Pores
- Stimulate Cell Growth
- Healthy Tissue Formation
- Retain Moisture
- Smoother & Suppler look
Vitamin C
- Improves the quality and appearance of the skin
- Strengthens skin elasticity
- Helps to prevent premature aging caused by UV exposure.
Purifying
- Gently and effectively hydrate
- Soothe irritation
- Restructure and restore the skin.
- For Acne / Pimples / Blemish
- Anti-Inflammatory
DNA
- To improve uneven skin texture, dilated pores and scars.
- Firming, Lifting, Wrinkles
It is said to be: "Retails at store for $7 each vial and $49.90 for a set of 10" at GLO (have no idea where's that) and "Trying asking for ampoules in the beauty salon, and they charge you for $15- $25 for each vial".
So bought a couple from this particular spree. $3.50 for each vial, $32 for a set of 10. I bought 10 and am using the DNA one everyday, twice daily. Am still using the first vial even though one and a half weeks had passed, didn't know that my face is so small.
The effects are not bad at all, I can visibly see that my skin's texture is even out quite a bit. I'm dying to finish this current vial and the 2nd vial so that I can go on to try the other vial. =(
Geez, it's 11 pm already.

@ SPOILERS @ Don't read if you are going to watch.
Order of the Phoenix is such a disappointment.
Went to watch the 5th installment of the Harry Potter movie today at GVmax.
1st complain: TOO FREAKING COLD! It was freezing throughout the whole movie. It was a bad decision to wear a skirt afterall. Anyways, my feet were half-numbed and I couldn't feel my touch when I touched my feet.
I was expecting much more from the Aurors (SP? lazy to take book out to check), especially Tonks (again, SP?). I believe that is was only a mere 10 - 20 minutes at Sirius's home during the movie (before going back to Hogwarts).
Dementors had changed. No more human-like figure with a black cloth drapped over. They've become like something out of... what's that game called again? House of Death? Yikes.
I was hoping for more new charms or what not (like the locomotor curse or something, or anything, the charm which one of the Aurors put on Harry's chest when they flew through the sky to Sirius's home; which reminds me, Sirius's home has a name hasn't it? didn't hear it in the movie), but nooo, the same old dis-wanding curse and forbidden curses. Maybe the curse Ginny conjunctured in the movie was new don't really remember anyone using it before.
Not much of that Charms teacher either (Macgonalla or something SPSPSPSP!!!) and Snape. SIGH. It's mostly on Harry and Umbridge (SP?). Her character is satisfactory portrayed. Sigh. She's suppose to be utterly disgusting.
And I was hoping to see the taking of OWLs. I was hoping to see more mischief from Weasly twins. I was hoping to see Snape revealing more of his past. I DIDN'T want to see Harry kissing Cho because it's just so darn lame. And who the hell though of having mistletoe suddenly GROWING above them. And what the hell, their kiss is longer than Sirius's death.
The storyline is getting weaker and weaker as the installments progress. Sigh.

Went to watch Transformer yesterday evening at Vivo and we were forced to deposit our box of 豆沙饼 at the counter in exchange for this:
This is the first time this had happened to me.
OK OK! I admit that we were OPENLY smuggling food in. We were pretty sick of popcorn and nachos so we bought a box of 豆沙饼. If the staff asked, we'd just say that we're taking this home for my great grandmother who suddenly have a craving for 豆沙饼. Never did we expect that we would be asked to step aside and asked "what is inside". I just stood there, dumbfounded, partly because I was struggling to translate 豆沙饼 into english. Then this smart alec said, "里面是什么?" like I'm those *censor censor* who don't understand a simple word of english. F#ck.
At the same time, another couple (working adults) were in the same situation as us, but because of a slab of chocolate bought from Chocolate Factory. They argued back. Have no idea what they were saying as we (I was) were stomping into the cinema already.
Ok I know that it's the house rules that no outside food and drinks were allowed. But who the hell made up such a rule? Is it just to increase sales at the over-priced chow box counter (whatever)? Totally moneyminded. It's like if we, normal consumers, want to snack during movies, we only can buy stuff from their OVER PRICED food selling station, and increase their profits even more?
Heck, Orange Julius' popcorns are wayyyyyyyyyyyyy better than theirs and it's much cheaper.

Dear never cook this kind of dishes before, though he did whip up some pasta for me before. And so I stood by him throughout the whole process, with my camera (handphone) in my hand. Yeah, I did took some pictures and videos BUT they're for my personal viewing only. MUAHAHAHAHA.
Well, maybe I'll show just one or two.
Before. Yeah, long vegetables and 2 eggs. Lol.
After. The other dish is chicken wings. My opinion? It's nice, really not bad at all. It's already a very good attempt despite the fact that it's only his second attempt at this. And we finished everything.
Dear, it has been hard on you for these 2 years, enduring my moodswings, crazy shopping tactics or what not. You're so good to me. Really hope that out feelings for each other will stay for long. Though we'll have little fights and some internal conflict thing going on (you know what I mean),
